New Phone and Mobile Number

I've been using a new phone, a lowly black Nokia 1208 for about two weeks now. The last I have was lost when it fell on my pant's pocket when I was motorbiking inside the village. I say not a great loss actually. Had it for like couple of years and doesn't really cost much (bought it at around P3,500). Losing the phonebook on it in a way is a disaster because I survive communicating to some friends only thru text. So if by chance you get to read this, and wanted to know my new number, and to old friends who sneak out to view my blog and Friendster as well (how do I write this without sounding corny and feeling?), let me know.

A giving co-worker was nice enough to purchase the cellphone for me using his credit card for P2,000. I direly need to text most especially at work but was short of budget because I paid early for the bike's monthly due. The phone's features are very basic and if ever I could replace it with a new one, i'd go for the decent one I saw at the Nokia Store in Cyberzone, SM North that has FM Radio and VGA Camera. The price is about P4,200.

Search for the Best Digicam

In more than a month's time, I intend to buy a digital camera with a 10k budget. I have two prospects so far, the first one, the Kodak C813 has 8 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, 2.4" LCD screen among other features. The other one, Sony DSC-S650, had 7.2 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom, and 2" LCD screen. It's the least costly among their Cybershot line I guess. Browsing the net, most people seem to be picking Canon , some also like Nikon. Too bad both brands doesn't have a local website where I can choose without having to leave the house. Canon looked more expensive based on displays on malls. Kodak, though cheaper is said to be inferior from among the pack of cams. One comment I read was that Kodak is only good in making films, not cameras. Some blogger suggests choosing the right lens, not just relying on the megapixels. All the while I thought MP is the name of the game. How will I know which has good lens? Anyone got experience with any of the models above? Suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Spot in 'Rotonda'

At about 2am, me and one companion went to what he boasts as his favorite hang out. It's payday and since I too am craving for a some drink, we pushed through. We were supposed to be threesome but the other fellow have fallen asleep waiting for us and I, too was also hesitant to disrupt him. The place we went is called 'Ihaw-ihaw sa Rotonda' (Rotunda Grill), and as it suggests, is located at Mabuhay Rotonda in Quezon Avenue. At the instance of seeing the facade, you might think of it as like a derby house, or a gambling den. The aesthetics outside is not really inviting, the inside is hard to tell. You won't take a second look at the waitresses. If not for the sounds, the band that I really enjoyed performing, I would exit at once and settle for the nearest sari-sari store in the vicinity. But then it's 3 in the morning and even the bakeries might still be closed so I shun the idea. Initially, we ordered 4 bottles of regular Colt, fries, and sisig. Then before closing, another 2 bottles for each of us. The bill cost only 315 pesos. I say not really expensive. The main attraction like he said were the bands, and it's true. When we arrived, a lady singer was belting out Fergie's 'Big Girls Don't Cry. Then a guy from the Acid Rain band did 'Here Without You' . What really caught my best liking was the second band, tagged as Lite Rock Band, when they perform Bon Jovi's 'Thank You For Loving Me'. Then as grant to an audience' request, Chris Norman's 'No Arms Can Ever Hold You'. I'm not a regular 'gimikero' and have not seen many 'rakistas' played but can say that these people really got talent. The performers were all amazing and if we just get there earlier, we definitely could have got one helluva sound trip. If asked whether I'll come back. Sure yes. I drove home a little tipsy but safe.
